Why film

Aviation is bought on trust.

Nobody makes a purchase in aviation or aerospace from a brochure. The buyer is putting their money and their safety on the decision, so they want to understand it first: how it was designed, who builds it, how it flies, and why the people who already own one chose it. That usually takes months of demo flights, forum threads and hangar conversations.

A well-made film covers a lot of that ground before anyone calls your sales team. Sales can send it ahead of a demo flight, and the trade press can run it.

The same goes for an engine, a simulator, a training program or an airport. The more someone has riding on the decision, the more they want to see how the thing actually works.

“If they were going to entrust their lives and investment in an airplane, we wanted them to learn as much as they could about that airplane from the videos.”
Chris Aronoff, speaking to Diamond Aircraft’s newsroom, 2022

What we make

Videos that work for years after the launch.

Big on launch day. Still selling years later.

Milestone films

A milestone deserves more than a press release.

Anniversaries, certifications, first deliveries, new facilities, fleet introductions. We find the story inside the milestone: the engineer who spent six years on a part nobody sees, the crew that rolled out the first airframe at 2 a.m. The film plays at the event, then keeps working for years on the lobby screen and in the recruiting deck.

Worth starting the conversation three to six months before the date.

Launch films & origin stories

Turn the spec sheet into something people watch twice.

A launch, a new market, a rebrand, or a product that’s been out five years and needs a fresh look. For the Diamond DA50 RG we treated the aircraft as a character, down to its own musical theme, and still covered what the sales team needed: the CD-300 engine, the G1000 NXi, the safety features and the cabin.

One shoot supplies the hero film, cutdowns for sales and dealers, a show-floor loop, social edits and material for investors and press.

YouTube, run as a channel

Turn YouTube viewers into sales conversations.

Uploading isn’t releasing. Most aviation brands post around launches and shows, then go quiet. We run it as a channel: about four videos a month on a calendar tied to your sales cycle and the show season, plus paid campaigns aimed at people who already watch aviation content and at anyone who’s been to your site.

Every campaign runs toward one action, like a demo flight request or a dealer enquiry. Each month you get watch time and returning viewers, plus the two numbers that matter more: enquiries and cost per lead.

We launched Diamond Aircraft North America’s channel in April 2026. Five months and 11 videos later, it has 12,000 subscribers and more than 500,000 views.

We also make owner and customer profiles, technical explainers, recruitment films, and single videos for a show or event.

Case study · Diamond Aircraft DA50 RG

“Who made Diamond’s award-winning movies?”

In 2022, Diamond Aircraft’s newsroom asked that question and ran the answer as a feature. Here’s the story behind it.

The Black Knight The Black Knight · DA50 RG North American launch 6 min

A pilot who was afraid of heights

Chris was afraid of heights. He took a discovery flight anyway, and the instructor handed him the controls. He kept going and earned his pilot’s license. Today he’s an instrument-rated pilot with more than 200 hours.

A story heard on the road

Filming Diamond’s DA62 series took the team 12,000 miles across 26 states. Along the way, one aviation veteran after another told them stories about how Diamond began. Over dinner at a steakhouse in Tennessee, Chris and Annmarie decided those stories needed a film of their own. That became the DA50 RG Origin Story.

Bringing it to life onscreen

Two more road trips across Europe and North America, with a vehicle full of gear. Hours of interviews with Diamond’s staff and with the owners who fly the airplane. Air-to-air filming over the Alps, and the North American launch at Oshkosh in 2021. Across all our work, we’ve now filmed on six continents.

“Airplanes have personalities,” Annmarie told Diamond. “The soundtrack gives each aircraft its own theme (a leitmotif), the way a film gives one to its lead character. And the documentary helps the sales teams do the lead work, bringing to life onscreen the engine, avionics, safety features, cabin, and overall experience.”

The Black Knight has about 20 views for every subscriber on Diamond’s channel, so it traveled well past the people already following Diamond. The two DA50 films won 16 awards, plus 9 honorable mentions and official selections at festivals in 13 countries. Then Diamond’s own newsroom published a feature about the people who made them.

The DA50 films were one chapter in a longer run of work for Diamond: the DA62 series and its trailer “Just Imagine,” “Be the First to Fly the DA50 RG,” “The Pilot Quest” and “Diamond Aircraft for Airlines.” Since April 2026 it has also included Diamond Aircraft North America’s YouTube channel, which we launched and run.

Chris Aronoff

Pilot · Director · Producer

An instrument-rated pilot who flies DA40s out of Santa Monica and Camarillo, California. He learned in a Diamond DA40. What that skill translates to on a film shoot is that no one has to explain the vocabulary, the acronyms, the limits, and the possibilities. The air-to-air plan comes from a filmmaker pilot who knows and understands what the pilots are being asked to do.

He has produced and directed several successful feature films, all over North America, resulting in ROI for investors.

Annmarie Aronoff

Annmarie has been filming around airplanes since she was 19 and in film school, where she shot aerials from a Cessna, directed scenes aboard a Boeing 737, filmed B-roll at international airports, and filmed for TV network news at NATO air force bases. Her uncle flew fighter jets (CF-104 and F-86 Sabre) for the RCAF. Her passion to share aviation on the screen to inspire audiences continued to grow from there.

She was headhunted to run international film and TV distribution for companies in Toronto and Los Angeles, including Portfolio Entertainment. To date she has sold thousands of hours of movies and TV series to networks in more than 130 countries, among them Disney, HBO, Nickelodeon, Showtime, ABC, NHK, Travel Channel, Fox, CNN, National Geographic, Discovery and NBC Universal, and has shaped and led 370 marketing campaigns.

Our films have been official selections at SXSW and the Seattle International Film Festival, and our aviation work has won festival awards in Canada, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Chile and Bhutan.
